Assessment Information

Assessment Information:

Observations:


  • Students do not recraft their writing unless specifically asked
  • When students do recraft their writing, their focus tends to be on spelling and simple punctuation.
  • Peer assessment/discussions are mainly based on students just listening with basic comments "I like your writing". Students even seem to struggle to select specific details that they like about a peers writing.

Assessment:

  • Based on 2014 end of year data - 26 students (from rooms 12/13) are on level 2A - only 1 phase below standard.

  1. Can you please provide more information in relation to the children's achievement in writing. Where are the rest of the children at? Is your plan to target those 26 children?
